Point Shot: Vegas looks to find its groove in Ottawa

The Golden Knights play their second game of a 4-game swing through the Atlantic Division tonight, taking on the Ottawa Senators. Sitting at 6-8-1, the Knights are looking for that break they need to get their season back on track and tonight could be the night.

Vegas has been struggling to find the back of the net all season but the process has been there. They’ve had the 3rd most scoring chances in the league to go along with the 4th most inner slot shots. They’re getting the puck to high danger areas but have only scored 33 goals this year which ranks 30th in the league.

Luckily for them, the Sens are a mess defensively. Ottawa has one of the worst team defenses in the league, ranking 2nd worst in scoring chances against and inner slot shots against.

This game is exactly what the Knights need; a chance to pile up chances against a team that struggles in its own end and finally break through with some goals.

Unfortunately for the Knights but fortunate for anyone watching, the Sens get Brady Tkachuk back tonight who was having an unbelievable start to his rookie season before going down with an injury.

Tkachuk is a wildcard in this game because he was doing so well but there’s no way to know how he’s going to bounce back in his first game action in weeks. This should be a fun one to watch!
