Evander Kane might have been held without a goal in a 4-1 loss against the Blue Jackets, but the winger had one of the most dangerous games of any player this season. In fact, this has been one of the most dangerous games by a player held scoreless in years.
Those numbers are already impressive, but his performance in the third period takes the cake. Of his eight inner slot shots, seven came in the third period alone, something that no players has matched since 2015-16.
Kane now ranks 5th in inner slot shots and 8th in scoring chances per game league-wide, so don’t expect a drop-off in goal scoring from the Shark’s winger.
