Point shot: Fantastic start for Ferland

The Carolina Hurricanes are off to a strong start and Micheal Ferland has been a surprisingly effective player for them. Coming off the best statistical season of his career, Ferland was traded to the Canes as part of the Douggie Hamilton, Noah Hanifin trade.
Sitting 2nd on the team with 9 points and 1st with 6 goals, Ferland has quietly been a strong producer for the ‘Canes. He’s currently averaging career highs in many offensive categories.

Not to mention the fact that he’s 1st on the team among forwards in slot shots, scoring chances, inner slot shots, and shots on goal.
With this type of production, the Canes may have found the perfect sidekick to their superstar forward, Sebastian Aho. If Ferland can keep this up, Carolina fans will have lots of fun watching the two of them play.
