Hall Reminds Everyone Why He’s The MVP

Last night, Taylor Hall showed once again why he’s the reigning MVP. The Devils entered Tuesday’s game against the Penguins last in the Eastern Conference and riding a three-game losing streak however, Hall said enough’s enough and put the team on his back, scoring 4 points in a 4-2 win over the Penguins. Hall uses his speed and skill to create chances off the rush and harass opposing defensemen. Those skills were on full display last night where he created chances by finding quiet areas in the slot that allowed him to receive passes there and turn them into shots.

This game was a continuation of last year where he led his team in almost every category. He possesses the puck more than anyone and uses it to create chances for himself and his teammates. Hall finished with a team-high in shots from the slot and passes to the slot, always looking for ways to get himself and the puck into high-danger areas.

The Devils are hoping last night’s win is the start a streak, with Hall once again leading his team in all facets of the game. We’ve seen other players on the Devils step up at times this year, like when Kyle Palmieri set a record for scoring the teams’ first goal in each of its first 4 games this year, but every now and then Hall reminds us why he’s the reigning MVP. He’s more valuable to his team than anyone else and last night was a perfect example of it.
