Corey Perry: Out up to 5 Months

Corey Perry is expected to miss up to 5 months after undergoing knee surgery. The 33-year old had the surgery to repair his meniscus in his right knee.

Perry has been one of the top right-wingers in the NHL throughout his career with the Ducks. His 146 goals over the past 5 years are good enough for the 4th most amongst right-wingers. With Perry missing up to 5 months recovering from MCL surgery, the Ducks need to find someone who can fill his shoes.

Look no further than Ondrej Kase. In a limited role last year, Kase outpaced Perry in a number of areas such as goals, points, scoring chances, and controlled entries. After a down year statistically last year for Perry, the Ducks had to have been looking to see what their future was going to be like without Perry and now they have 5 months to find out if Kase is the answer to that question.
